Modspace is a modular Post and Beam building system currently being developed. The posts and beams consist of engineered timber composite members which are connected by steel brackets, and non-loadbearing infill panels can comprise of fenestration, doors, or solid panels of which there will be several options in terms of material and finishes.
The concept is, rather than having a set of pre-designed plans, of a component building system which is adaptable to suit any design layout done according to its modular grid. The bulk of the manufacturing process will occur in a factory with just the assembly occurring on site, with the aim of reducing on-site construction time dramatically.
The development of the Modspace system is currently in the design development and prototyping phase.
