Situated on the coast, the site is perfectly orientated for with views over False Bay to the north. The design brief called for all primary living spaces and access to be on the same level. With the site sloping down from the road this was achieved by positioning the open plan living areas, main bedroom, and kitchen, connected via the scullery to the garage for direct access, on the first floor, with guest rooms on the ground floor. ‘Green’ features will include solar water heating and water tanks for rainwater harvesting screened behind a timber screen.
Environmental Authorisation has recently been approved and building plan approval granted. Construction is due to commence in early 2012
